I live on the south shore of Long Island, by Brookhaven Airport, and I’m sandwiched between Francis S. Gabreski Airport and East Hampton Airport. Most of the flight traffic overhead comes from the flight schools that operate out of these small airports (see Top Ten Offenders below), though my neighborhood also gets traffic from MacArthur Airport, which accommodates commercial flights, and Montauk Airport, which gets a lot of helicopter and small plane traffic from people commuting to and from the Hamptons.
