Since filing an FAA complaint last month against Brookhaven Airport and their skydiving pilot (JUMP1), as advised by my representative in the Brookhaven town council, JUMP1 has indeed changed his flight path, but instead of flying farther away from my residence, he deliberately changed his flight path to pass directly over my house. He does this multiple times a day. This is retaliation and harassment.
What’s interesting about this behavior, as I talked about several weeks ago, is that I sent an email to Brookhaven Airport to complain about JUMP1’s behavior and they responded that there was nothing they could do. But JUMP1 can clearly change his flight path, as indicated by the image above, which shows JUMP1 veering far off his regular flight path, which usually flies closer to the airport. So the reasonable conclusion is that JUMP1 willingly chooses the flight path that causes the most distress and harm to residents like myself.
This is why the town of Brookhaven needs to regulate the airport and issue fines for pilot behavior or suspend pilots that deliberately inflict distress on residents. They won’t, of course, because our current representatives are feckless, and this is why they all need to be voted out.
