This flight path for Helicopter N26HF, registered to HELIFLITE SHARES LLC in Kearny , NJ, is a perfect example of the inequity caused by rich people commuting from the Hamptons.
The helicopter first passed overhead this morning at 6:53 am. Then, after making its pickup in the Hamptons, N26HF used the exact same flight path for its return trip at 7:08 am, giving us ordinary people along the South Shore a double exposure to its insufferable noise. Notice how the flight paths conveniently avoid going through the Westhamptons, even though those are the people who are making these flights.

Should people have to listen to this noise in the mornings when they are just getting ready for the day?
Update: And, of course, it’s not just HeliFlite. Here is FXC44, registered to Flexjet Vertical Lift in Cleveland, OH, making a similar flight path.

Clearly, this is a deliberate choice by the people at Francis S. Gabreski Airport in the Westhamptons to shift the impacts of the noise that they generate onto other, poorer neighborhoods.
